Hyundai Creta Facelift First Look Review Check Interior Features Performance Space Price


The Creta is already selling so well that Hyundai cannot make enough of them in the first place but a close first look at the facelift Creta in Indonesia reveals the newer version can be an even bigger hit. We expect Hyundai to launch the new Creta next year when the SUV has completed two years and a life cycle facelift is due. The new Creta would not be a small facelift though as it will have enough changes to make it seem like a new car in many aspects. Not to mention the new look front-end with the new face.

The Creta borrows the new Tucson-like front-end with the parametric grille plus the DRLs are neatly embedded in them. The headlamps are below much like the other new SUVs which have a similar design trait. There would also be a new lower front bumper design with a silver skid plate along with new colour options. From the side, the changes would be limited to new wheel designs finished in grey while the rear would also be altered for a sportier look. The rear styling now gets a new bumper along with added sculpting while the twin tail-lamp treatment gets a slightly tweaked design. More than anything, the new front-end gets our vote.

Inside, the biggest change would be the 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster borrowed from the Alcazar. It gets a configurable display according to the drive modes where the screen changes colour. The new display also has a provision for a blind spot monitor built-in. The other features would stay the same as the current car with a panoramic sunroof, 10.25-inch touchscreen plus more.

However, the car will get the latest version of the Hyundai BlueLink with added features. More importantly, the Creta facelift will debut ADAS features like blind-spot monitor, adaptive cruise control, cross-traffic collision avoidance assist, emergency brake assist, and lane-keep assist. The engine options will stay the same with a 1.5l petrol with CVT and manual options, a 1.4l turbo with a DCT gearbox while a 1.5l diesel will be there with either a torque converter automatic or a manual. We expect prices to rise from the current generation Creta but the inclusion of new features and a new look will more than justify the price rise.
