DMK spokesperson Sivaji Krishnamurthy has been expelled from the party for allegedly making objectionable comments against Governor R N Ravi and BJP leader Khushbu Sundar.
The DMK spokesperson sparked off a controversy after he attacked the Governor for refusing to transfer DMK leader Senthil Balaji’s portfolios to two other ministers.
“We allocated the portfolios to two other ministers. The governor said this was wrong. If you (Governor RN Ravi) says something, you should stick to it. You said you would not accept it when we proposed the two ministers. If you were originally born to your mother, you should have stuck to what you have said but you changed it. That is DMK, we will not say, but if we do so, we will even give our lives to fulfill it,” India Today quoted Krishnamurthy as saying at an event.
He also called BJP leader and National Commission for Women member Khushbhu Sundar an old vessel.
Meanwhile, BJP leader and actor Khushbu Sundar slammed the DMK leader and said the National Commission for Women will take up the matter by itself.

She said, “There are many like him in that rut. Abusing women, passing lewd cheap comments about them goes unchecked and is probably rewarded with more opportunities.”
Tagging Chief Minister M K Stalin, she said, “What you don’t realise is he not only insults me, but you & a great leader like your father (the late M Karunanidhi). The more space you provide him, the more political space you will lose. Your party is becoming a safe haven for uncouth hooligans. It’s such a shame,”
Later, she said that the issue was not about a DMK man speaking ill of a BJP woman leader, but it was an attack on women.
“This is the new Dravida model. Such persons are being nurtured,” in the DMK, she said alluding to party president and Chief Minister Stalin’s oft-repeated assertion of delivering an inclusive and development-oriented model of governance.
BJP State President K Annamalai said Krishnamurthy’s comments about the Governor and Sundar “are highly condemnable, and we demand immediate action on this repeat offender.”
It may be recalled that Krishnamurthy had earlier stoked a row over his controversial statements about the Governor and was suspended from the party, before it was revoked after he apologised.
