Prime Minister Narendra Modi remains the world’s most popular leader for the third time in a row with an approval rating of 75 per cent. This was revealed in a Global Leader Approval Ratings released by a US-based consulting firm ‘Morning Consult’. Swiss President Alain Berset stands at second position followed by Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

In the approval rating, US President Joe Biden is placed at the 8th position while UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is at the 13 position among 22 world leaders. The latest approval ratings are based on data collected from the 7th to the 13th of this month. It is based on a seven-day moving average of adult residents in each country, with sample sizes varying by country.

In the earlier ratings too, PM Modi had topped the ranking. His consistent high approval ratings reflect his enduring popularity among the Indian populace. Nonetheless, PM Modi’s continued strong performance in these ratings highlights the widespread support he enjoys both domestically and internationally, reports Free Press Journal.

In general elections, it seems nonetheless to have a lock on power, for the next five years and probably more, thanks to the popularity of Narendra Modi. The last time the firm Morning Consult had conducted the global leader approval tracking survey was at the beginning of this year. Then too, PM Modi had the same approval rating of 75% and was much ahead of his peers across the world.
