The chatbot uses the factors that can lead to a shorter life including being male, having a mental-health diagnosis, or being in a skilled profession, while a longer life can come from having a higher income or being in a leadership role. The chatbot model ‘life2vec’ takes care of each part of the life of the person.

The chatbot has been trained on data stretching from 2008 to 2016. It works in the same way as ChatGPT, where users ask it to write a song, poem, or essay. Similarly, scientists can ask life2vec simple questions such as “death within four years?” Its predictions were correct in about 74% of cases.
Data Protection
The chatbot ‘life2vec’ is fed with data from people’s lives, written out as a series of data-rich sentences. Each piece of information was given a different token and these pieces of data were all mapped out in relation to each other.
However, these data are not available to the general public or companies to comply with GDPR and protect the personal information of the people whose data trained the system.
