    A woman in Bengaluru was seriously injured after being attacked by a pet dog while out for a morning walk in HSR Layout. The attack left her with over 50 stitches around her face and neck, and additional injuries on her hands and legs.

    The incident took place on Monday at around 6.54 am in the Teachers Colony area, when the woman was walking in front of her house.

    According to reports, the dog lunged at her suddenly. A person who attempted to intervene was also reportedly attacked by the animal.

    The pet dog is said to belong to Amaresh Reddy. The injured woman was admitted to hospital and is currently undergoing treatment.

    Following the attack, her husband lodged a complaint at the HSR Layout Police Station, alleging that the incident occurred due to negligence on the part of the dog’s owner. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation.
