Recently an new documentary on Operation Sindoor was released in India and it has frustrated Pakistan. Pakistan Army’s spokesperson Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif has challenged India’s account of 2025 military operations. The army spokesperson got frustrated that it forced him to post at mid-night 2 AM and accused India’s documentary of presenting selective events and portray it in India’s favour.
Discovery India released the documentary “Declassified: Operation Sindoor” on August 15, 2026, detailing India’s May 7-8, 2025, military operation against terrorist camps post-Pahalgam attack. Pakistan’s Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif criticized the film alleging selective editing and bias.
Pakistan Military Questions Operation Sindoor Documentary
While posting about it on X in the early hours of Tuesday, Sharif stated that the documentary as a mix of “tragedy and a comedy”. He also alleged that it lacks “nuance and seriousness”.
“Selectively edited interviews, emotional narration and cinematic Bollywood style reconstruction have been used to alter established facts and rewrite the operational outcome,” he wrote.

He also claimed that the documentary only shows the facts that will be accepted in India and only favours Indian audience.
What Is Declassified: Operation Sindoor?
Recently Discovery India released a two-part documentary, Declassified: Operation Sindoor, which was premiered on 15 August, 2026. This series shows India’s military actions to Pahalgam Terror attack and includes narrations from senior military leadership personnel.
The documentary focuses on the planning and execution of 88-hour military Operation Sindoor, that shows the behind-the-scene and tells what happened before and during the conflict.
Pakistan Rejects India’s Account
Sharif also rejected documentary’s portrayal of Operation Sindoor and called it “Marka-e-Haq”, the term used by Islamabad.
“Pakistan remains committed to regional peace and stability. At the same time, the Armed Forces of Pakistan remain fully prepared and capable of defending the country’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and national interests,” he said.
India launched Operation Sindoor on the night of 7-8 May 2025, in the response of Pahalgam Terror Attack to attack on the terrorist camps that did the attack. India attacked nine terrorist sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
