Following an extensive US and Europe tour, Diljit Dosanjh is set to kick off “Dil-Luminati India Tour 2024” with his concerts in Delhi over the weekend.

The traffic moved at a snail’s pace near central Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru (JLN) Stadium on Saturday as thousands of fans turned up to attend Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh’s Dil-Luminati concert in national capital today.
More than 3,000 security personnel have been deployed in and around the stadium to maintain law and order, police officials said. Paramilitary forces, including a company of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), have also been deployed, they added.
Hundreds of fans were spotted in queues, waiting to enter the event location on Saturday evening. The queues extended to several kilometre outside the venue.
Many users on X complained of traffic congestion at JLN stadium its surrounding areas, including Lodhi Road. In a post on X, a commuter said that due to heavy traffic, it took him two hours to cover the stretch from the Lodhi Road flyover to Chirag Delhi.

The concerts, scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, became one of the most awaited musical events of the year.
Ahead of his concert, Diljit visited Bangla Sahib Gurudwara on Friday to offer his prayers. Multiple videos and pictures of Diljit from the visit surfaced online.
Police Vigil for the Mega Event
Policemen in plain clothes have been deployed to keep an eye on activities inside the stadium and a large number of CCTV cameras have been installed in and around the venue, they said.
“We are expecting around 35,000 people to come for the event. Elaborate security arrangements have been made in and around the stadium,” a senior police officer told PTI.
Police Issues Traffic Advisory
The Delhi Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory for the weekend to help manage the expected influx of concertgoers. Commuters have been encouraged to avoid restricted routes and plan their journeys accordingly to navigate road closures and diversions effectively during the concert hours.
Attendees can enter Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium through Gate Nos. 2, 5, 6, 14, and 16, while Gates 1 and 15 will be reserved for emergency purposes. Traffic restrictions will be in place from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM on both concert days to ensure smooth access and safety in the surrounding area.

Moreover, Heavy Transport Vehicles (HTVs) will be prohibited from using the route from the JLN Stadium red light along the entire stretch of BP Marg during the restriction hours.
Emergency vehicles, including police, ambulances, and fire trucks, will retain unrestricted access to the area. However, the Delhi Traffic Police have advised these vehicles to avoid BP Marg and Lodhi Road to minimise delays, it said.
The Traffic Police advised commuters to avoid BP Marg, Lodhi Road, Lala Lajpat Rai Marg and roads around JLN Stadium during these hours. It also advised people to use public transport to reduce congestion and plan their journeys to avoid delays.
