Pakistan’s former prime minister Imran Khan has been moved back to Adiala Jail after undergoing a medical check-up at Shifa International Hospital in Islamabad, a spokesperson for his Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party said.

The 73-year-old PTI founder was taken to the hospital around midnight for a medical evaluation following a Supreme Court order directing authorities to ensure specialised medical care for him amid concerns over his health.

Khan was returned to prison after doctors assessed his condition and deemed it safe for him to remain in custody, according to Pakistani media reports.
