The New Brunswick RCMP is investigating the deaths of two men whose bodies were found inside a residence in Knowlesville, New Brunswick, on August 12, according to a police news release. Members of the Western Valley Region RCMP responded to a report of two sudden deaths at a residence on Knowlesville Road at approximately 9:49 p.m., the release said.
Upon arrival at the scene, police found a 68-year-old man and a 74-year-old man, both from the community, deceased inside the residence. The men were known to each other, and police said there is no threat to public safety.
The RCMP’s Major Crime Unit has taken over the investigation and is treating the deaths as suspicious. A member of the New Brunswick coroner’s office is assisting with the investigation. Autopsies are scheduled to determine the exact causes of the men’s deaths, according to the New Brunswick RCMP.
