A derogatory remark allegedly made by former Norwegian diplomat Terje Rød-Larsen about Indians has surfaced in the newly released Epstein files. The document was highlighted after Russian state broadcaster RT posted the email on X.

According to the RT post, the email said: “Have You Heard The Saying, When You Meet An Indian & A Snake, K*ll The Indian First!”

The remark appears in an email contained in the files released by the US Department of Justice (DOJ), which recently made public around three million pages related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

According to the document, the email is apparently from Rød-Larsen and includes an offensive comment about Indians, made in response to a message forwarded to him by Epstein from an Indian politician.

The document claims that Rød-Larsen wrote, “Have you heard the saying: when you meet an Indian and a snake, kill the Indian first!” in an email dated December 25, 2015, sent to Jeffrey Epstein.

Terje Rød-Larsen previously served as president of the International Peace Institute and was also a former United Nations envoy. He resigned from the institute in 2020 after his name emerged in connection with Jeffrey Epstein.

The vast cache of documents released by the US Department of Justice in connection with its investigation into Jeffrey Epstein includes references to a wide range of influential figures, from technology executives and Wall Street financiers to foreign dignitaries.

All those named have denied any involvement in the sexual abuse of girls and young women linked to Epstein.

However, some of them are shown to have maintained or renewed ties with Epstein even after media reports had widely identified him as an alleged abuser of underage girls. None of the individuals mentioned has been charged in connection with the investigation. Epstein died by suicide in a Manhattan jail cell in 2019.
