FIR Filed Against 10 Individuals for Disturbing Communal Harmony in Nuh, Haryana

Police
have
charged
ten
individuals
for
allegedly
disrupting
communal
peace
and
spreading
false
information
about
a
sweets
shop
in
Nuh
city
via
social
media.
The
controversy
began
when
the
shop’s
owner
declined
a
customer’s
request
to
pay
through
UPI,
leading
to
negative
Facebook
posts.

According
to
Girraj
Prasad,
the
shop
owner,
false
accusations
were
made
on
Facebook
on
July
21
against
his
business,
Lala
Chandiram
Sweets,
and
its
Muslim
employees.
The
shop
is
located
in
Anaj
Mandi
and
has
been
operational
for
75
years.
Prasad
employs
10
to
12
Muslim
workers
and
has
relied
on
milk
suppliers
from
the
Muslim
community
for
three
decades.

Communal
Harmony
Concerns

Prasad
believes
the
accusations
are
part
of
a
deliberate
plan
to
disrupt
community
harmony
and
incite
communal
tensions.
He
suspects
that
business
rivalry
might
be
behind
this
propaganda
against
his
shop.
The
police
have
been
provided
with
links
to
the
Facebook
profiles
of
those
accused.

Following
Prasad’s
complaint,
an
FIR
was
filed
against
Asif
Hussain,
Rafiq
Ahmad,
and
eight
others.
DSP
Headquarters
Harinder
Kumar
stated
that
they
are
examining
all
aspects
of
the
case.
“We
are
investigating
all
angles.
Strict
action
will
be
taken
against
people
who
have
tried
to
disturb
communal
harmony.
These
accused
will
be
arrested
soon,” said
DSP
Kumar.

The
police
are
committed
to
taking
firm
action
against
those
attempting
to
disturb
communal
peace.
They
assure
that
the
individuals
responsible
for
these
actions
will
face
arrest
shortly.
